GN Sent 10 Sets Mini Decanter Centrifuge to Canada Customer

GN’s centrifuge production line is ranging from 9” to 22”, among these series, there unit 9” is of model GNLW223 which is also called mini model. It is an excellent choice for the core drilling fluids solids control. One customer from Canada bought one unit GN’s 9” decanter centrifuge in the year of 2013, after more than half year running test, they bought another 2 units which has  been already shipped to the customer. End of last year, a repeated order including 10 units Mini decanter centrifuge sent to GN, which is an approval of the quality and performance of the Mini model.

Below some basic parameters of the Mini Decanter Centrifuge

Bowl Diameter: 9 inch (220mm)

Bowl Length: 26 inch (670mm)

Rotation Speed: Max. 4200RPM; Typical 3800RPM

Capacity: Typical 6 cubic meters per hour

G-force: Typical 1777 @ 3800 RPM

As the core drilling no need large flow of the drilling fluids, this low capacity decanter centrifuge would be best choice for this application. The unit GN sent to Canada is only the mechanical part, and the customer would assemble their hydraulic part together with the mechanical part which is more popular and acceptable for the Canadian market.

  

For some other market, GN could also provide the complete solids removal unit for the core drilling solids control. In GN’s design for the solids removal unit, there is a Mini shale shaker as the primary separation unit for large size solid particles. 2 screens panel deck design is with small foot print located on top of the mud tank fed with drilling fluids from the drilling whole. The under located mud tank is divided into 2 compartments used for both sand trap and mud mixing. The only 1 unit centrifugal pump is dual functions as mud mixing and transfer to the Mini centrifuge.

The treated drilling fluids fed to the Mini decanter centrifuge would be processed and then send back to the storage tank for reuse which greatly save the water cost and reduce the operation cost.
