Iron Ore Slurry Treatment Decanter Centrifuge

Iron (Fe) is one of the most abundant rock-forming elements, it is the fourth most abundant element after oxygen, silicon and aluminium. It is indispensable to modern civilisation and people have been skilled in its use for more than 3,000 years. Iron ore slurry treatment caught the attention also because of the environmental protection, and economic reason, to recycle, reuse the water, get more productive on site. 
Some typical site may similar as other of GN decanter centrifuge applications, requiring it to handle the fluids up to 20% solids, while the to process 60~100m3/h iron ore slurry or even more. To assure the result, the outputting water to be reused and solids as close to dry as possible, which will be easier to dump to conveyors, or transport. 

It contains very fine solids normally, so dosing is a must, polymer is used in most of the cases, with different progress, either before feeding into the centrifuge, or do it on a big pond before anything, for sediment first. 
On site the whole process may including grinding mills, conveyors, The mill discharge is screened at 1/4" on trommel screens attached to the mill. Ore smaller than 1/4" is pumped in slurry solution to the wet cobber magnetic separator, which begins the process of separating the iron from the non-iron material. The magnetic iron ore is then laundered in two slurry surge tanks while the non-magnetics (silica/sand) go to the tailings disposal area. 
That is where will decanter centrifuge will be used.

centrifuge to handle high volume slurry and discharged clean water for TBM project.
